Sweaters are pretty ubiquitous at thrift stores, which means lots of opportunity to find really cute styles.
With so much selection, you have to keep an eye out for quality. Look for higher end labels, quality materials (like wool and cashmere), and most importantly, minimal pilling.
But if you find a really cute sweater that’s covered with pilling, you don’t necessarily have to abandon it. Buy a pack of cheap disposable razors and gently shave off the pills, using a lint roller to pick up the debris. It’s very possible to make a sweater look almost new with a little patience.
