We all know that fashion is cyclical, and bathing suits are no exception. It seems like the last few decades have all been about the bikini. And while there’s nothing quite like a bikini for sunbathing and motivating you to do more sit ups, we’re thrilled to see that one-pieces have made such a huge comeback. Even more exciting is the throwback to skin-centric 80s cuts that prove the one-piece can be anything but conservative.
Of course there’s nothing quite like true vintage. While bright colors come back at least once a year, there’s something about the high-contrast, hyper-pigmented color combos of the 80s that are just so distinctive. Which is exactly why this little number caught my eye. Not to mention the fact that’s it’s in stunning condition for something that is probably older than we are!
