One of our favorite parts of the holiday season are all the excuses to dress up. The many gatherings and events offered by the end of the year provide perfect opportunities to show off our most special wardrobe pieces. Not to mention the chance to wear old favorites in new ways!
This timeless look works for virtually any type of winter event, from a holiday party, to festive drinks with friends, or even just a day at work. The core of the outfit is this pleated grey wool skirt. While not quite as obvious a clue as a Ladies Garment Workers Union tag, the fact that it is unlabeled and unlined are both good signs that it is true vintage. I just love the classic silhouette this skirt creates!
Another reason this look is a favorite: the textures. The combination of soft cashmere, slightly rough wool and smooth suede, give this outfit a richness perfect for colder temperatures. But of course a December look isn’t complete without a bit of sparkle. I was lucky enough to find this beautiful statement necklace on our way up to Tahoe where we did this shoot!
